Velvet Season

Velvet is back! I am pretty excited–I have a velvet blazer in my closet that I have been waiting to wear until the weather got cold. I love that it is an easy way to add texture/interest to an outfit, especially for those who are intimidated by prints or bright accent colors. Instead of throwing on a basic wool navy or black jacket, think about upgrading to a velvet jacket. It’s a little bit sexy (think Kate Moss), a little retro, and still within most people’s comfort zone! If you are looking to hop on the bandwagon, see some of my favorite velvet items below! As you can see, they are all extremely wearable, not some pieces that look like they were discarded from Fleetwood Mac’s tour wardrobe.
