When your birthday approaches, you cannot help but reflect back on the years. The age 25 somehow seems both momentous and inconsequential. Regardless if the year brings big changes in ol’ Erin’s life, I am going to make some changes on my own.
3 Things I will do more of this year:
1) Make time for what I love: writing. After long days at work sometimes it is tempting to just zone out when I get home. This next year I want to fall back in love with writing. Even if it is just writing a few sentences a night. I have a snazzy new writing desk that is dedicated for just that. It is my space to create.
2) Take charge of my OCD. I have discussed on the blog before that I suffer from OCD. I want to make sure that I focus on continuing that frustrating journey of getting well. OCD can control so many facets of your life–I want freedom from that.
3) Be more positive. I will admit that there are times when I can only see the bad. In order to live a more balanced and healthier life, I need to put aside those dark-colored glasses. My life is good.
Honorable mentions are: cut down my caffeine intake to 20 pops a day, stop being scared of E.T., meet/punch a descendant of Ernest Hemingway…
