My skin hates fall/winter and boy does it make it obvious. Out of nowhere, my skin becomes dry, dull, and peels even after a thousand applications of lotion. It is sensitive as well so I cannot just slather any old lotion on it. Those with similar skin will understand my frustration. Enter Renee Rouleau’s Hawaiian Nourishing Cream. It is on the expensive side (although not nearly as expensive as the famous La Mer Moisturizing cream, which it has been compared to–the Hawaiian Nourishing Cream does not have mineral oil in it like La Mer does so it would be better for problem skin), but fortunately you don’t have to use it every night. You also don’t need to use a lot of product at one time. The cream contains rose hip oil, which calms rebellious skin, as well as a few other natural oils that will not clog pores. I am always a little weary about using a moisturizer with oils (I almost fanatically avoid them, preferring oil-free lotions), but I must confess I get the softest, most supple skin when I use the cream without any negative side effects. It really does calm everything down, making it look like normal, hydrated, glowing skin. You can’t really ask more than that!
What moisturizer do you swear by during the colder seasons? Any other fans of Renee out there? I have loved every product of hers that I have tried!
