How To Do Retro Hair

tools-hairbrush-ivoryI was going to just put “time travel” and end the post there. I suppose though that I will actually offer help from those looking to mix things up in the hair department. My favorite beauty site, Byrdie, has a fantastic how-to for a few different retro styles. I am itching to try the ’60s do myself. After the long process of growing out a pixie, I finally have enough hair to play around with! A little warning: if you are rocking retro hair, make sure your makeup and outfit are modern or have modern elements or else you will look like you are on your way to a costume party. A retro hairstyle with some graphic liquid eyeliner–good. A retro hairstyle with some graphic liquid eyeliner, polyester minidress with bell sleeves, and some patent white boots–someone may call you the future Mrs. Draper.
