Office Pet Peeves

pencilWhen you work in an office with a bunch of people, you are likely to be annoyed 90% of the time. There are some things that grate on you when you experience them day after day. Here are a few of my office pet peeves:

  • When someone walks away from their desk, leaving their cell phone to go off playing Muzak every two minutes.
  • How there is inevitably someone in the cubicle next to you who seems tubercular or hovering close to death based on their  mucous-filed coughs.
  • When the person who was using your chair previously decided to stain it with an unidentifiable substance and not attempt to clean it.
  • People using their “outdoor” voices inside.

How about you? What things drive you nuts at work?

  1. LOVE IT! A couple of mine

    – Someone sending me a lengthy email even though they sit 10 feet away
    – People who eat fish, garlic or other “smelly” foods at their desk

    • Yes! Those are also some of my pet peeves! Most of my coworkers sit right nearby and I never understand why they write an epic instead of just walking the few feet to explain something to me! Haha.
