The Cat Eye

Liquid liner can be one tough cookie to crack. When I started experimenting with it, I ended up looking like I was trying to outline my eyes in magic marker. If you want to use liquid liner during the day, you have to be much more subtle. I think this picture of British actress Felicity Jones is a great model to follow. It makes her eyes look ginormous (she already has big doe eyes to begin with, I know, but the liner enhances them). I find using a pen liner works the best for me. My personal favorite? NARS Eyeliner Stylo. Two other tips if you are going to try this look out:

1. Conceal those under eyes. Some mornings my dark circles are so bad it looks like I got punched (which would be weird because I have such a likable and innocent face!) –the black seems to only highlight how dark they are.

2. Have a q-tip handy. That way if you mess up (which inevitably happens, even to those of us who have been using liquid liner for ages), you just wet the qtip a tiny bit and correct the line. No one will ever know that you drew the line almost up to your crease!
