When I started working my full time job two years ago, I found out that podcasts make the day go by quicker than music. You get sucked into whatever story they are telling and suddenly it is lunchtime! I like to listen to podcasts when taking road trips for the same reason. You would be surprised how often you reflect back on the stories or facts that you heard. I end up recounting stories to my coworkers as if they happened to me (I am sorry, coworkers, for interrupting your lunch to tell you some statistic from Radiolab). You can stream all of these podcasts online (most, if not all, have their entire archive available!) or buy the apps for This American Life, Radiolab, and How Stuff Works (which includes the other two). With the Radiolab app you can even create your OWN podcasts.
Does anyone have podcast recommendations? How often do you listen to podcasts?
